Job Offer: Laborer – Excavator Operator

Job description
Group A1 is looking for skilled laborers (excavator operators) to strengthen our paving team. You will be at the heart of the action on residential, commercial, and institutional sites, working directly alongside the paver.
At Groupe A1, you'll be part of a stable, organized team, with equipment in good condition and well-planned jobsites. We carry out more than 400 projects a year, so the volume and variety of work is always there.
Responsibilities
- Sealing and finishing around sumps, curbs and manholes
- Compact surfaces using vibratory plate and finishing roller
- Prepare surfaces before installation (cleaning, emulsion application)
- Assist the paver operator with ground maneuvers
- Keep work area clean and safe
- Participate in loading and unloading equipment and tools
- Respect health and safety rules at all times
Qualifications
- Valid CCQ certificate of competency (laborer or specialized laborer)
- Minimum 1 year experience in asphalt paving
- Valid ASP Construction card
- Valid class 5 driver's license
- Good physical stamina and ability to work in a variety of conditions (heat, prolonged standing)
- Meticulous and concerned about the quality of the finish
- Ability to work in a team and communicate with the foreman
- Willingness to travel to different job sites (Laval and surrounding area)
