Job offer: Screw man

Groupe A1 is looking for an experienced screw man to join our paving team. You'll play a key role directly on the paving machine, controlling the flow and thickness of the asphalt laid. Your work has a direct impact on the final quality of each project.

At Groupe A1, you'll work with the latest, well-maintained equipment, in a team that values experience and know-how. With over 300 asphalt projects a year on residential, commercial and institutional sites, every day is different.

• Adjust and distribute paving thickness from paving machine according to required installation rate
• Control asphalt flow via paving machine screws according to project specifications
• Visualize and apply the installation plan in collaboration with the foreman
• Maintain good communication with the paver operator and rakes
• Sealing and finishing around sumps and manholes as required
• Monitor asphalt quality during laying (temperature, texture, uniformity)
• Participate in routine maintenance of the paving machine
• Respect health and safety rules at all times

• Valid CCQ competency certificate (specialized laborer)
• Minimum 3 years' experience as a paving screwdriver
• Valid ASP Construction card
• Valid class 5 driver's license
• Excellent knowledge of the asphalt paving process and quality standards
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a high level of precision
• Good communication with foreman and team members on site
• Willingness to travel to different job sites (Laval and surrounding area)
