Job offer: Roller operator

Groupe A1 is looking for an experienced roller operator to join our asphalt paving team. You'll work on a variety of residential, commercial and institutional projects ranging from private driveways to large-scale parking lots.

• Operate different types of rollers (double ball, combination, pneumatic) on asphalt paving sites
• Compaction of asphalt in accordance with plans, estimates and technical specifications
• Check condition of equipment before and after each use (pre-operational inspection)
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on machinery
• Keep work area clean and safe at all times
• Communicate effectively with foremen and other operators on the site
• Strict compliance with health and safety rules on worksites
• Complete daily reports and operation sheets as required

• Valid CCQ competency certificate (apprentice or journeyman) - Roller operator specialty
• Minimum 3 years' experience in asphalt compaction
• Valid ASP Construction card
• Valid class 5 driver's license
• Ability to work in a team and communicate with foremen
• Meticulous, rigorous and concerned with the quality of work
• Willingness to travel to different job sites (Laval and surrounding area)
• Experience with rolls of various sizes and configurations (an asset)
